Year

2020 - Present

Santa Marina is an amazing based in LA/Brazilian Soul brand. I am very happy to be in this project because it means a lot to me when a brand such Santa Marina, cares about the environment, who is producing, product quality, and their collaborators.

Understanding the Brand.

Santa Marina produces in small quantities, in local factories and only uses reusable fabrics. Their main focus is well-being.

Their target audience is a woman who loves the beach. But because she wants to ENJOY the beach. She wants to feel comfortable carrying all that stuff to stay the entire day there, with family, kids, friends, playing, swimming, moving, and feeling good about herself.

Body-Positivity • Comfort • Self-Steem • Sports • Motherhood • Practice • Sustainable • Durability • Women empowerment

Data:

"Swimming is a popular fitness & recreational activity all around the world. Growing consumer interest in swimming and a rising rate of family vacations to resorts, islands, and near the beach have fueled the demand for swimwear; thereby, propelling the growth of the market."

Statista.com

Consumer sustainability:

"Recent Study Reveals More Than a Third of Global Consumers Are Willing to Pay More for Sustainability as Demand Grows for Environmentally-Friendly Alternatives"

"While attitudes vary across generations, countries, and industries, 85% of consumers have become ‘greener’ in their purchasing in recent years. Companies must act now to avoid obsolescence in the future."

Product visions:

BRAND HONESTY:

  • We want to show the consumer how the physical product is made. And they can be able to interact and express how they would like their product to be.

SIMPLE AND EASY USABILITY:

  • We want to provide a simple and functional layout, focusing on facilitating the process of online shopping and creating a good experience.

EASE OF CULTURAL EXCHANGE AND COLLECTIVE CONSTRUCTION OF PRODUCT:

  • We want to insert and invite the consumers to participate in the process of creating the product, a product that suits their needs. A product that will represent a real-life woman.

FACILITATE POST-SHOPPING EXPERIENCE:

We want to offer a platform that shows all details of the product so it is easy to make the correct choice. But also, facilitate returns, consignments, and tryouts.

DONATION TO NON-PROFIT

  • A percentage of the purchase is donated to an organization of the consumer's choice.

User Flow and MVP:

CUSTOM SEARCH:

  • Allow users to set their desired size, fabric composition, elasticity, origin, and style of the swimwear

LIVE CONNECTIONS:

  • Create a community based on zip code so the Santa Marina women can connect and share experiences.

FOLLOW UP ON THE CHOSEN NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION:

  • They will be in contact and watch what is being done with their money.

TRACKING OF DEVELOPMENT:

  • We will provide a free consultation with a volunteer therapist specialized in body image so they can start feeling better about themselves and may seek a professional help if they desire.
